Terms of Service
Last updated: April 3, 2026
The objekt.sh website, CLI, MCP server, and API (collectively, the “Service”) are operated by the objekt.sh team (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version at objekt.sh/terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email where possible.
1. The Service
objekt.sh provides decentralised file storage and static site hosting for ENS names. Files may be stored on Cloudflare CDN, Arweave, or IPFS depending on the storage tier selected. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
2. Accounts & API Keys
Access to the MCP server and API requires an API key obtained at objekt.sh/mcp. CLI users authenticate via EIP-712 wallet signatures with no API key required.
You are responsible for keeping your API key and wallet credentials confidential. You are liable for all activity under your key or wallet. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload, store, or distribute illegal content;
- Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
- Infringe or misappropriate intellectual property or privacy rights;
- Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, or constitutes child sexual abuse material;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data;
- Resell the Service without our written permission;
- Circumvent usage limits or access controls.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend access for violations at our sole discretion and without notice. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload (“Your Content”). By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to store, cache, and deliver Your Content as necessary to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
You represent that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.
Content uploaded to Arweave is permanent by design and cannot be deleted by us or anyone else. Content on CDN and IPFS tiers is subject to the retention period of your plan.
5. Payments
Free tier API keys provide limited storage with 24-hour retention. Paid tiers are one-time purchases processed via Stripe (USD) or x402 (USDC on Base). All payments are non-refundable except as required by law.
Pricing may change at any time. Current pricing is available at api.objekt.sh/pricing. Changes do not affect existing purchases.
6. Storage & Availability
We do not guarantee 100% uptime or data durability. CDN-tier files are cached at the edge and may be purged after the retention period. Arweave uploads are settled to the Arweave network; once confirmed, availability depends on the Arweave protocol, not us. IPFS pins are maintained for the retention period of your plan.
We may impose or adjust file size limits, rate limits, and storage quotas at any time.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, its design, code, and documentation are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by open-source licences for components we publish.
8. Privacy
We collect minimal data: API key usage metrics (bytes stored, upload count), email address (if provided at checkout), and standard HTTP request logs. We do not sell your data. Uploaded files are stored as described in Section 6.
CLI users authenticate via wallet signatures. We do not store private keys. The OWS (Open Wallet Standard) wallet manages keys locally in ~/.ows/.
9. DMCA & Copyright
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to dmca@objekt.sh with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work;
- URL of the infringing content;
- Your contact information;
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorised;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate.
Note: content on Arweave cannot be removed from the Arweave network. We can remove CDN and IPFS content, and block access through our gateways.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT FILES WILL BE PERMANENTLY AVAILABLE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 4, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
